WIldcat Murals
This year at the Cedarbrook Middle School where I teach FIne Arts I began the state's first Advanced Art course which is essentially an Art Major for the junior high school years. As our Public Art unit we decided to take our school mascot, the Wildcat, and in the Philadelphia tradition of mural themes, we made various wildcat murals, in doing so calling to attention the diversity of wildcat species and calling to awareness the cause of Wildcat conservation. Some wildcat species, such as the Iberian Lynx, are nearing extinction at a rapid rate.
To help the cause please visit the sites http://www.wildcathaven.org and www.soslynx.org. Any thing I sell this month I will divide the profit to benefit wildcat conservation by donating to these sites. Thanks, Bevan.
